The topic I would like to explore is how have women's role in society has affected our country today. This topic is important to me because being a women who's hope is to be successful in life it is important for me to recognize how far we have come. From being labeled inferior to men to filling high positions in government and running for office, women have come quite far in American society today. I find it interesting how great women of our past have shaped and brightened the road for us today. Influential leaders such as Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Ida B. Wells, and Susan B. Anthony have raised the bar for women and allowed them to have a voice in the future of our nation. This topic is worth researching because it is important for not only women but men to acknowledge the history of women and their rise to power today.
